Updated COVID-19 SAFETY PROTOCOLS
Now that we are just a couple of weeks away from Marylyn’s Life Celebration, we wanted to provide an update on the Covid-19 precautions in place with the City of Chicago, with the Chicago History Museum, and specific to Marylyn’s event.
We will strive to make this gathering safe and worry free for our guests - please see below for the specifics.
Our Venue: The Chicago History Museum
Our event space at the Chicago History Museum will be a spacious, well-ventilated area with 20-foot ceilings. Both indoor and outdoor areas will be available, and we plan to open the doors to promote good airflow.
Additionally, the museum adopted enhanced cleaning measures during the pandemic, including nightly cleaning by a specialized custodial team using electrostatic sprayers, misters, and vacuum equipment with high-efficiency particulate air filters. The disinfectants used are on the EPA N list of approved disinfectants for use against SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus that causes COVID-19, and are in widespread use by the healthcare industry.
Testing
Out of concern for any guests who may be immunocompromised, we ask all guests to self-complete an at-home Covid-19 test prior to arriving at the Chicago History Museum. Please complete your test as close to the date of the event as possible - preferably, on the day of. If you would like us to send you an at-home Covid test, please email hello@lightenarrangements.com by Saturday, May 7. Testing on site will also be available for those who could not complete a test at home before the event.
City of Chicago Covid-19 Protocols
We will follow all City of Chicago Covid-19 protocols. At this time, the following guidance is in place:
Effective February 28, 2022, the City of Chicago has removed the mask and vaccine requirements for most public indoor and outdoor spaces. Additionally, as of April 19, 2022, masks are optional (not required) at O’Hare International Airport, Midway International Airport, and on public transit.
Masks are welcome at Marylyn’s Life Celebration, if you will feel more comfortable. We will also provide masks & hand sanitizers on site.
